Teeth whitening: at the practice or at home?

In-office whitening works in about 30 minutes, at-home whitening gradually over about two weeks. Which method suits you better?

Smiling woman with white teeth

Coffee, tea, red wine and the years gradually take away from the whiteness of the teeth. Professional whitening brings back several shades and is safe when carried out under a dentist's supervision. We offer two methods.

In-office whitening with the BEYOND lamp

The procedure takes about 30 minutes and the result is visible straight away - teeth become on average about 8 shades lighter. The gums and lips are carefully isolated so the gel works on the teeth only. A good choice when you want a quick result, for example before an important event.

At-home whitening with custom trays

We make thin trays that fit your teeth precisely. At home you add whitening gel to them and wear them on the schedule we give you. The result comes gradually - usually over about two weeks - and is easy to maintain.

Good to know

  • Whitening only works on natural teeth - fillings, crowns and veneers do not change colour

  • Some patients feel mild sensitivity, which fades within a few days

  • It is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding

  • It is best to have the teeth professionally cleaned beforehand

For a longer-lasting result, limit coffee, tea and red wine in the first days after the procedure.
